Adsense vs Nuffnang vs Innity vs Admax vs AdsFactor vs SkyAd vs Advertlets

If you are publisher and your site traffic is mostly from either Malaysia or Singapore, I believe you would also appreciate and agree with me that it is hard to find good and decent paying ads network here. There are international CPM network that accepts Singapore or Malaysia traffic, like Smowtion, CPX Interactive, Fast Click, Burst Media, etc; however the rate is very low at the range of $0.02 – $0.20 per thousand impressions.
Here is a list of ads network with office and clients in Malaysia and Singapore, mainly focus in local websites, and pays much better than international CPM networks. Do take a look at them.
Most of the networks below are originated from Malaysia, except Ads Factor which apparently is from Hong Kong. All of them offers CPC ads in addition to CPM ads, but it pays paltry. Nothing work nearly as good as Google Adsense in CPC advertising landscape.
My experience is based on Singapore traffic only; Malaysia-side performance is likely different based on online reviews.

Reviews of Top Malaysia / Singapore CPM Network

  1. Nuffnang – http://www.nuffnang.com.sg/
    (Blogs only)
Nuffnang seems to be the largest in term of publishers number, partly due to it’s low entry requirement and the hype it generates in the local blogosphere. It pays well for campaign in both Malaysia and Singapore; however, low fill-rate in Singapore can be quite depressing. Popular bloggers can get advertorial request, which pays up to 4 digit figures.
In my experience Adsense VS Nuffang = Adsense Wins 3:2
  2. Admax – http://www.admaxnetwork.com/
Admax is knows to pays very well for Malaysia traffic; however in Singapore again disappointing fill rate is a cause for concern. Entry requirement is moderate.
In my experience Adsense VS Admax = Adsense Wins 20:1
  3. Advertlets – http://www.advertlets.com/
    (Blogs only)
Advertlets is the nearest competitor to Nuffang in term of the targeted publisher (bloggers), however, bad public impressions soon after launch seems to be preventing Advertlets to reach good number of bloggers and advertisers. Advertlets, like Nuffnang, also offers advertorial opportunities.
In my experience Adsense VS Advertlets = Adsense Wins
(I didn’t try due to reports in the Internet about bloggers not receiving their due payment from Advertlets. That sucks. Yeah.)
  4. Digital Media Vantage – Innity – http://innity.com/
I get good early impressions about Innity when I first joined their network about 6 months ago. Unfortunately, the consistent CPM and decent fill-rate only last for few weeks. Now, the ads I get are mostly CPC, which as I mentioned above, performs really badly compared against Adsense.
In my experience Adsense VS Innity = Adsense Wins 10:1
  5. Media Pixel – AdsFactor – http://www.adsfactor.com/
Ads Factor pays very well, with CPM rate of up to SGD$10. Most of the time we don’t get that rate, but it’s still good. The fill-rate isn’t disappointing either. There are days when Ads Factor fills up to 70% of my ad space. The downside is the high entry requirement. From my understanding, Ads Factor accepts only top publishers with high number of impressions.
In my experience Adsense VS Ads Factor = AdsFactor Wins 3:2
  6. SkyAd – http://www.skyad.net/
SkyAd is a newcomer in Singapore, after being established in Malaysia and have clients like MalaysiaKini, The Star Online. On the first look, my impression of SkyAd is more of a ads marketplace where publishers set a price and advertisers can place their own ads; rather than an ads network where the network decides which site shows what ad.
In my experience Adsense VS SkyAd = Adsense Wins
(I have received invitation to join the network, but haven’t done anything to it yet)
Conclusion : Reviews of Top CPM Ads Network For Malaysia & Singapore Traffic Adsense vs Nuffnang vs Innity vs Admax vs AdsFactor vs SkyAd vs Advertlets If you can get into it, Adsfactor is the best paying ad network, with good fill rate and CPM rate. Nuffnang is another good alternative for bloggers.

Adsense generally is the default ad network for most publishers, and has been the best performing ads network to me before AdsFactor comes in picture. Remember also that even though I put comparison as Adsense vs something else, you can always put both of them together in one page; none of these ads network run counter against Adsense policy or demand exclusive arrangement.

Innity and Admax don’t work too well for me. However, if you have extra ad space no harm to fill it with either of these two.

For Advertlets and SkyAd, I haven’t find the urge to try them. If however, you have tried the networks, do share with me how’s your result
